the apartment is super stylish, you can’t get enough of it. It is located next to many train stations, bars and restaurants -as well pharmacies, which are important during corona-. It was our first time in Paris and we walked to all sights, because of the central location. The flat offers a cute balcony, accessible from 2 windows. We spent every evening out there. Sibylle was also available for questions and answered within seconds. The check-in went smoothly and although joana did not speak our language, she welcomed us warmly. Furthermore Sibylle made it possible for us to check out one hour later, thanks again!!

Great appartement, great location. If you like squeaky floorboards, high ceiling and big windows, this is for you. I personally loved it! Be aware that there are restaurants on the street. They close at 23.00 and with the widows closed you cannot hear it at all. I personally loved it because it allowed for quick breakfast and last minute dinner without running through Paris. The location is also great, close to a lot of metro stations, opera, ... All in all great experience and sibylle was great in her communication, management and flexibility!

We loved everything! The place is not brand new, but it is very lovely, clean and very french :-) It has charm The host is great - helpful and responsive. The lady who was responsible for our check-in was very lovely as well. I wish all our stays with airbnb was like this.

My wife and I had a great stay at Sibylle’s place. It’s in a great location. Lots of places to shop, eat and drink within walking distance and all kinds of public transport nearby. The building itself is very secure and we were very well looked after on arrival Sibylle responded very quickly to our messages and provided some great information on the area to us well before arrival All in all a great stay and a place we would definitely go back to!

My family and I were guests of Sibylle from the 19 - 25 of October. Our party consisted of 2 parents and 2 children,() 5 and 12 years of age. First and foremost it should be mentioned that Sibylle is a very informative and responsive hostess. Pros: 1. Location - we like to utilize public transportation and/or walking when visiting a new city and the location of the apartment made this ideal. Eiffel tour was a 25 minute walk, the Louvre 30 minute walk and when we made our way to Versaille, the train was a 5 minute walk away. 2. Apartment was perfect size - not too big, not too small. 3. Plenty of hot water, and surprisingly efficient heating system. 4. Washing machine - the washing machine/dryer combo was very convenient but would only recommend using it for undergarments - clothing comes out very wrinkled. 5. Queen sized bed is very comfortable. Cons: 1. We were expecting a pull out mattress, unfortunately it turned out to be a very stiff futon. We asked Sibylle for a pillow top in an attempt to make it more comfortable and she made it happen in a matter of a few hours. However, even with the addition of the pillow top it was still not very comfortable. 2. Street noise - the windows of the apartment are very antique and beautiful but do virtually nothing to block out sound. Restaurants on the street below stay open until midnight with a constant flood of people and the trash company collects trash every morning around 7:00am so sleeping in is not an option so I highly recommend earplugs. Although there are a few major cons, the pros definitely outweighed the cons and we would consider staying there again.

This is a great place to stay, exactly as pictured. Very close to galleries Lafayette and Opera House, and a minute walk from metro. Its large compared to what you would normally expect in heart of Paris. Sibylle is an excellent host, and also sent a list of recommendations which was very helpful. The only negative is bathroom is on smaller side and not updated, but that was evident on photos also, nothing unexpected. Overall a great place

This flat is more beautiful than the photos! I thoroughly enjoyed opening the windows for the breeze and to hear the ambiance of Parisian life and the floors are out of this world gorgeous! The area where this is located is lovely, and busy with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, not to mention walking distance to a lot of the major tourist attractions. I walked every where, because I enjoy it, but if you wanted to take the metro, the nearest station is a minute away! I will note if you’re not used to street noise from people, bars and early morning trash trucks, then I wouldn’t advise staying here. I didn’t mind it, because I’m a city person and am numb to those kinds of sounds others may deem annoying. Sibylle was amazing from beginning to end, sending me tips and tricks for getting around Paris, as well as restaurant/bar recommendations. She really is the quintessential host and her help was very appreciated!! Overall, I would recommend this flat to everyone! You really won’t be disappointed!!

Sibylle gave wonderful advice and was very accommodating. Overall, the place is very nice. However, the photos of Sibylle's place are not completely accurate. The apartment is beautiful, well lit, and spacious. However, it is not quite as grandiose (or large) as it appears in the photos and much of the furniture and decor is scratched up. My main problem with the apartment was the bed. It was terribly uncomfortable and made it very hard to get to sleep at night. It felt more like a rock hard couch rather than a bed which at this price I did not expect.

Mijn dochter en ik hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad in Parijs! Het appartement is op een hele centrale plek in Parijs, dat is heel leuk! Het is wel heel erg gehorig, er gebeurd de hele nacht door van alles in de straat en de ramen zijn enkelvoudig, we moesten hele goeie oordoppen kopen om een beetje te slapen. Daar door vinden wij het appartement een beetje aan de prijzige kant.

Sibylle’s place was in a fantastic neighborhood. Near good places to eat and shop and near metros. Place looks a bit more tired than the photos show but the potentials are great with just a bit more care. Sibylle was quick to respond to any/all inquiries and in that sense was a great host!

The place was is an ideal location for all the things we planned for our trip. Loved all the natural light that would light up the space. The place was spacious and was very comfortable for all four of us. The internet was also very fast. Opening up the balcony doors allowed for fresh air to fill up the space. Overall an excellent experience. It was very easy to check in and check out.

The flat was very clean and in an excellent location near a major train station, which helped when exploring the city. Sibylle's place seems to us to be classic Parisian: VERY high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows that open to the street, very close to wonderful patisseries (not to mention Starbucks: we Americans do like our iced lattes!). Its location is fantastic. We were able to access trains to center Paris venues (e.g. Musee d'Orsay) and other spots outside Paris (e.g. Versailles, Giverny) easily. Sibylle is a very good host: helpful overall, communicates very promptly, responds to the minors request we made with speed. The only two downsides: the woods floors creak (so makes quiet night movement very difficult); night street noise (other than Sunday night) is significant (especially for those, like us, who live in the woods and aren't used to night life).

We had a wonderful time at Sibylle’s place. It was close to shopping and great restaurants. We loved the location. Everything was either within walking distance or a short Uber. Check-in was seamless and when we had a question about the heater Sibylle was quick to respond to our question. Sibylle also provide us with lots of local recommendations for food, shopping and nightlife! I got sick prior to arriving to Paris and Sibylle also offered a local doctor if I needed it. Fortunately, I did not. We had a great time seeing the sights of Paris and would definitely stay again.

We loved our stay at Sibylle’s apartment. The location was great, around the corner from Gare Saint Lazare and fabulous shopping. It has large open rooms with lots of space. The four floor to ceiling windows and balconies are beautiful. The apartment is located above outdoor cafes and the street was noisy.

We are first time Airbnb users and Sibylle and her Paris apartment were a great introduction. I I selected her apartment based on the pictures, positive reviews and the location and it lived up to expectations. The location was central; we could walk to The Lourve, Champs Élysées, Arc De Triompe, Eiffel Tower and major shopping areas (all within about a 30 minute radius but in different directions). Sibylle was a most responsive host and provided wonderful advice and a large number of restaurant and shopping recommendations. Other reviews have mentioned some noise with the apartment from restaurants/bars in the street. Paris is a big noisy city & to be centrally located you expect there will be a little noise. However, we didn’t notice any noise at night when the doors were closed except from within the apartment itself. It is an old Parisian apartment with a lot of charm and excellent high ceilings but the parquetry floorboards are quite squeaky (I worried that the noise would disturb neighbours in below apartments). Overall, though, a wonderful, clean and spacious apartment. Great hot water & water pressure & small functional equipment that was fit for purpose. The views from the balcony were excellent & extras provided by Sibylle such as condiments, balsamic vinegar, cold bottled water & washing detergent & washing liquid were much appreciated. There was also ample hanging space for our clothes & iron & ironing board. The lift was small but great for getting our suitcases to the second floor apartment (which is something that I believe many other traditional apartments lack). A casual cosy restaurant/bar that was not on Sibylle’ recommendation list that I would suggest for a quick meal after a long day of sightseeing would be Certa which is opposite the apartment. Meals were nice and reasonable & good prices for cocktails & a cold beer. This place is very popular & a hive of activity until closing time but the noise did not disturb us in the apartment. I would happily recommend Sibylles’s Paris apartment to other visitors.

Sibylle’s place is located on a nice side street within a 20-30 minute stroll to most major tourist sites in Paris. It’s also located near a busy metro which can take you anywhere in the city. My fiancé and I wanted to live like locals while staying in the city and Sibylle’s place is right in the heart of the action. There are city sponsored bicycles stationed at the end of her block which also made it easier to access different parts of the city- if you’re daring enough to take on Paris drivers! Check-in was easy. Celia showed us the basics of the apartment and despite not speaking any French ourselves, she was able to communicate what was/was not off limits in the apartment. As my fiancé and I are still in our early thirties and wanted to live like locals, we were not at all disturbed by the strip of local bars/cafes located beneath the apartment on the same street. To some this may be an annoyance as the early morning trash pick up and keg deliveries were a bit noisy but for the most part we slept right through. It made for a pleasant stay to be able to wake up, walk downstairs, and grab a croissant/espresso before starting our day. Checkout was just as easy. Sibylle was responsive throughout our trip and willing to answer any all of our questions. She even provided excellent info on all metros as well as restaurant recommendations.

Shopping, food, and bars are right at your doorstep.... plus, some of the worlds most famous sites are minutes away! This flat is spacious with a nice location. It is surrounded by shops and it only takes 20 minutes to walk to the Louvre. Note that it can be kind of noisy given the nature of the city. I would definitely stay here again.

From the moment you walk through the door off street you enter a quintessential Parisian ‘chambre’. With the concierges booth across from the stairs, the stairs spiraling around an impossibly small elevator, the apartments tall ceilings, the windows, the mirrors - It like you just walk into a movie. It is a wonderful place ... and in a wonderful location. Very well placed to wander Paris - by metro or by ‘pied’. Just a short walk to the Seine or a quick metro to the Marias (two of my favorite haunts in Paris). Plus a couple of nice little bars on the street for that ‘last call’ before heading in. All and all a wonderful place - perfect for that Paris experience.

Me and my parents, we had a great Parisian experience in Sibylle's apartment. We carefully selected where to stay, and I think this was the best choice. Sibylle is extremely responsive, attentive and helpful. We did not meet personally, but we often communicated with her - as she was always on-line and made us feel like we were visiting a friend. Thanks, Sibylle ! We were housed by a very kind and hearty concierge Celia. Thanks, Celia ! The apartment fully corresponds to the description and photos. Large rooms, high ceilings, lots of light from French doors and large mirrors, charming balcony, comfortable beds, good underwear, adjustable central heating, good hot and cold water, complete equipment with everything you need, kindly charged all kinds of consumables. The whole atmosphere creates comfort and coziness. From previous reviews, I had read about the noise from the streets and neighboring boulevards. I have to say that NO NOISE is heard when the outer wooden shutters of the windows are closed. And in the evenings when the balcony doors are open , the lighted restaurants on the street and the laughter of the young people there, create a very Parisian mood and bring life very pleasantly this old classic apartment. The location is very convenient - right next to the Palais Garnier and Gare Saint-Lazare, where you can choose any transport. We preferred to use mainly bus - to see the city as close as possible. We succeeded to visit the famous sights of Paris and we were fascinated by the beauty of Sainte-Chapelle, the elegance and the historic value of the Château de Fontainebleau, the relaxing garden of Palais Royal. We felt the knights time at Château de Vincennes, the gloomy grandeur of Conciergerie, exorbitance of Château de Versailles , the mysterious atmosphere in Saint-Sulpice, the magnificence of the Louvre and saw Paris from the top of the Eiffel Tower. We listened to Roberto Alagna as Othello in Opera Bastille and we attended evening messa in Notre Dame. And after every full, exhausting day, we came back with pleasure - in the comfortable apartment of Sibylle . Once again, I thank Sibylle for giving us the possibility to stay at her wonderful home and for her support to have an unforgettable time in Paris. From all my heart I recommend to everyone who goes to Paris to contact Sibylle and if possible to stay in this apartment. I dream to go back ...

We were thrilled with our recent stay at Sibylle's place in the heart of Paris. The location is ideal as there are many restaurant and shopping options right within the same block. We used the metro to get around completely and it was very easy since her apartment is a block or two away from multiple options. The space itself is large and airy and had so much lovely character that I highly recommend it to anyone wanting a full experience. Sibylle was very helpful and gave us so many wonderful suggestions to help make our stay even more special.

Really nice apartment, warm, clean, and comfortable with really nice old world touches. Checking was simple and fast. Only issue (and I feel obligated to point this out) was street noise. The bars that lined the street continued till late (expected I guess), but then a host of commercial/service trucks (bins, supplies) arrived from 5:30am and they were extremely noisy.

A great value for the money. Location only minutes to all major sites. Our apt was clean, fully stocked with all kitchen utensils,. We always had hot water, English speaking television and heat. The room sizes were above expectations , wood flooring, leather couches, storage for our luggage. We were greeted during our checking in and also when we checked out. Fast communication and response on any issue, very quiet and restaurants right out your front door for convenience. We fully had great stay, we will stay again for our next visit.

Lovely apartment in good location. Sibylle offered sightseeing and restaurant recommendations and went above and beyond to help us when we ran into a problem with our travel plans. The espresso maker with coffee, tea and preserves were a nice touch. We loved having the bathtub after a long day of sightseeing. Also, having a washer and dryer for our stay was wonderful. Highly recommend!

Our family loved staying at Sibylle’s place for two weeks. The location can not be beat for exploring Paris on foot or Metro. It s close to lots of restaurants and groceries. We walked pretty much everywhere. The location alone makes this the best place. Sybille has also prepared the space with everything you would need and her communication is great. Two things of note that may effect some travelers: the street is kind of noisy however with the windows closed you really can’t hear too much. However with the windows closed it can also be very very hot. There are two fans and most buildings would probably have this problem but if it is above 80 in the city the apartment is very hot. This was the only problem our family had.

This apartment is exactly as it looks in pictures - perfect! My brand new husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was a beautiful, romantic space that let us pretend we lived in Paris for a little while. Everything was comfortable and clean. Great location! It was so easy to get around the city and take day trips because the apartment is so close to Saint Lazare. The little street feels a world apart from the station, with lively restaurants that stay open late that are perfect for a late dinner or drink at the end of a long day. This my first time using Airbnb, and Sibylle was a wonderful host and arraged everything for a stress free, easy stay. Merci Sibylle!

Sibylle's apartment is on the right bank, a true Parisien home, incredibly central to everything. It has the classic high ceilings with gorgeous molding. Tall windows open onto a balcony where you can sip your espresso in the morning! The apartment shows some wear and tear, as all old apartments in historic cities do. The only downside is that there are three bars/restaurants across the street, which are lively, but do close at 11pm. The major noise source is two main boulevards at each end of the short street. They are noisy 24 hours a day, and garbage trucks come every morning about 6:30. I wore earplugs and everything was fine. After all, it is Paris! And it was fun to have a look in at Parisien life! I would most definitely stay here again.

We had a great time staying at Sybille's place. Beautiful high ceilings, clean, had everything we'd need for a short stay in Paris. The location is perfect for anyone wanting to hit the main tourist attractions, or explore the local neighborhoods to the north. Sybille communicated promptly and clearly about check-in/out, and provided a really thoughtful guide to local restaurants/bars and amenities. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful historical flat in a wonderful location. Close to all the major tourist places. We loved the balcony view and how close we were to the subway. Sibylle was a wonderful host answered all of our questions and gave us so many tips on things to do. I highly recommend this place and will definitely stay again in my future trips to Paris.

We rented the apartment for 6 days/5 nights and it was really the best decision we could have made. We were able to walk everywhere. Eiffel tower, 40 minutes; Montmarte (sp?), 25 minutes; Louvre, 40 minutes. That may sound like alot, but Paris is beautiful that you really need that time to take in the sights. Sibylle also gave us some really great eats and advice, by day 4 we were taking public transportation like pros. This apartment really is in the middle of everything and so beautiful, from the living room to the balcony...we loved it all! We hope to visit Paris again, and would absolutely look no further than this rental when we do.

We are a young couple from the UK who stayed for 3 nights. The apartment is very stylish and really gives an authentic Parisian feel. It’s in a great location with the whole of the city being accessible. The apartment was clean and warm and the check in was very simple. Very simple transfer from the airport using the Roissy Bus to Opera (10 minute walk) which cost €12 one way. One minor point is that the road can be noisy overnight but the host can not control this! Overall very happy and enjoyed the stay!

This apartment is a real treasure in the center of Paris. The location is amazing— extremely walkable to major sites as well as great access to many different metro lines. The apartment itself is charming- so many lovely old architectural details such as high ceilings, parquet floors, intricate molding, lovely old big windows. Sybille was very easy to get in touch with and communicated with us regularly before our arrival as well as during our trip to see how everything was going. Celia (the concierge) was so nice and accommodating. The beds were comfortable (even the sofa bed) and the kitchen was very well equipped so we could fix breakfast in the mornings. Wonderful shopping everywhere and a great energy in the neighborhood. I highly highly recommend this wonderful place!

The location is perfect. I love the old building and the apartment with high ceiling. A bit noisy in the morning, but that is the small price to pay for the location. The internet has crashed few times, which was a small problem since I came on a business trip and needed to be online for work. Still, I liked the living room so much that I would not hesitate to return there on my next trip to Paris.

My wife and I took our two girls to Paris for trip and stayed at Sibylle's apartment. A trip to Paris is of course special. However, I really feel staying at Sibylle's place made the trip even better in unexpected ways, and we've returned from the trip feeling a bit more connected with Paris. It's at a great location. A short uber/taxi ride to almost all places visitors to Paris would want to go to. It's a 1-minute walk to metro stations (quite a few different lines go through there) and a few bus stops. It's a 30-minute leisurely walk to Place de Vendome (the evening lights along the way were impressive), and then from there, 20-minute walk to Louvre. We used all of those options, depending on whether we (our girls) needed to save some walking, or to save time and avoid the bad traffic, or to see the streets, or to see the evening lights. Sibylle's apartment is in a real setting of Parisian-living. I had wondered about what's behind those big french doors and the nice architecturally sophisticated facades of French buildings. Not any more. I had wondered about whether local people really spend that much time eating/drinking outside in the cold ... Yes, they did and once they were singing (the apartment overlooks a few eateries). ... Imagine our surprise. :-) The apartment is very spacious too. There is enough room for our younger ones to really stretch out and not feel cramped. The floor seems to have some Parisian history to it (plain English: old but nice). It's kept so clean that our younger ones spent a fair amount of time on Sibylle's floor. Sibylle has been so helpful and such a source of local knowledge to us, even since a few weeks before the trip when my wife was still doing research about what to do on our trip. Her help was very methodical. She probably could start a travel blog about Paris. There is only one thing we can think of to remind future visitors. Sibylle's apartment is right on a street. If you are a very light sleeper, it could be tough to sleep. It was not an issue for us at all.

We were looking to stay in an authentically French apartment and that is exactly what Sibylle's lovely space provided. The location is very central to lots of shops, restaurants and sights and offers extremely convenient access to several Metro stops. The check in/check out process was seamless and Sibylle was fantastic with communication prior to and throughout our stay. The apartment faces the street which provides gorgeous views from the balconies, but it did take us a bit to adjust to the outside noise- nothing that shouldn't be expected from a big city though. Overall we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend.

We are a young couple and Our stay Sibylle’s was great! If you are interested in high end dining and shopping it is prime location though it is so easy to navigate from the convenient location of the apartment to anywhere else in the city that we didn’t mind (when we wanted to venture out). Check in was very easy (with the concierge Celia) who explained how everything in the apartment works. The apartment is spacious and in a quiet/safe area (though it can be a bit loud in the morning due to the garbage trucks). We bought an unlimited train pass for the week of our stay and it was perfect as the apartment is located right next to a major station (st Lazarre) and a 3 minute walk to the RER at Auber (which felt safe to take at any hour). The best part of the apartment is the wonderful balcony! The bathroom / laundry was spacious (by Parisienne standards) and the kitchen was fit for purpose and came equipped with everything we needed. Though the elevator is quite small it is easy enough to work with and in any case the apartment is only on the second floor. Sibylle has been a fantastic host and was kind enough to share wonderful restaurant recommendations and buzzing areas to visit, and was easy to remain in contact with! We were particularly appreciative of the amenities left for us to use. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone no matter the purpose or duration of your trip! What a great find we will be back!

The apartment was really great, spacious and clean and classical, and almost everything you needed! Sibylle and the concierge Celia both were very nice and helpful. At first I was worried about there was no air condition there, but actually there's no need, I feel so cold in September, and there's heater inside the house which was very helpful. The only problem is the noise outside the window, which come from the street. There were bars that many people taking and laughing till midline, and the track start to move on from 6 or 7 AM. I still recommend to stay at Sibylle'a apartment, but suggest to bring earplug to ensure you can have a nice sleep.

Fantastic apartment in a great location! The living room is huge and the bedroom is very big. The ceilings are very high and apartment is bright and spacious. The old fashioned Parisian style with golden mirrors and moldings makes this flat really exceptional. I felt like a princess during my stay! It is very nicely decorated and the whole flat is just amazing. Everything is exactly as in the listing and the directions were very simple and straightforward. Super central, close to metro and very easy to get anywhere in the city. Major touristic places can be reached by foot, like Opera and Louvre. The hostess is very friendly and helpful. Excellent overall stay! If you plan to be in the 8eme, this is an excellent choice apartment, very well-equipped and the Sibylle is the most gracious and welcoming hostess. She greeted me at the door, showed me around the unit and stayed to make sure all my questions are answered. She was nice enough to stock the refrigerator with basics which was a big plus having arrived around 8pm. Excellent high-speed wi-fi. Well-equipped kitchen and the bed is firm with very good linens. The hostess was kind enough to purchase a fan for what turned out to be the hottest month of the year for Paris. It made the difference. The early morning street noise did not bother me as I came equipped with my "white noise" app. The place was clean and the cleaning lady who lives in the building stopped by to ask if I needed anything along with emails from the hostess who cared to make sure my stay was enjoyable.

Coming to Paris, we were trying to find an apartment and just by chance found Sibylle, it was destiny. We enjoyed her flat for 8 days and it was an amazing trip. The apartment is located on a quite street, but close to everything you need, just a minute walk. It has a very nice balcony. If you want to dip into parisien life, this is the perfect place to stay, it has a very authentic French decor.

My mother and I stayed in Paris for a long weekend and retreating to Sybille's apartment after long days of walking around the city was a real treat. Most of the other units in the building are offices, so at night time, the building is very quiet, which is great. As the other reviewers have noted, Sybille is a most gracious and kind hostess. She was very responsive by email before and during our stay and on the first day, after showing us around the flat, she made sure we were familiar with the locations of the nearest metro stop, taxi stand, grocery store, and bakery-- all very useful and important! The apartment is located at the center of Paris, and for first time visitors that's the best location. 30 secs to metro station, and 1 min away from taxi station is extremely convenient. The apartment itself has everything you need and more. My wife and I had a wonderful time in Paris and a lot has to do with this place. If we come to visit Paris again, this has to be where we stay.

I stayed for 6 nights over Thanksgiving and loved every minute. The apartment was absolutely lovey, incredibly comfortable, light and airy. For 2 Americans spending Thanksgiving in Paris it was perfectly Parisienne and romantic. Specifically: - Its a big apartment with lots of room. The kitchen is a typical European kitchen, compact but has everything you need. - The bed is very comfortable (I even asked where she got the mattress!) - The bathroom is a good size and has a washing machine so you can do laundry if need be - Its a great neighborhood. Many good restaurants and bars, and the building is on a small side street. - EASY access to travel all over Paris. The Metro station is just at the end of the block, as well as the train station a block north. - VELIB! The bike share system in Paris is BRILLIANT and there is a bike station right in front of the apartment. Sibylle was a gracious and incredibly helpful hostess. It was my first AirBnB rental so I was a bit anxious to just figure out the process but it was all so easy. Key pick up was incredibly simple from the Housekeeper that lives in the building. (She is also fantastic!) I'm hoping to stay again soon!

the flat of Sibylle is absolutely stunning. not only it is absolutely central near gare saint lazard, hausmann and has Printemps and Galeries Lafayette around the corner, but also high ceilings, the air of the real Paris, belle epoque. Excellent apartment and everything went smoothly. Very central and was amazing to have an apartment to relax after a day of sightseeing in Paris. We got access to the apartment at 11.30am and left five days later at 2pm. Enjoyed eating at the apartment after buying food and a bottle of red wine from Galeries Lafayette (5 minute walk) and enjoying it at the dinner table in the apartment. Communication was great with Sibylle and her suggestions were great! Additionally, the Metro is very close to get to anywhere within Paris. Even took the RER (Regional Express Railway) to Magenta station - which is connected to Gare du Nord train back to London (Euro Star) Wifi worked very well and had free Nespresso in the morning to start the day. My only complaint is we only stayed five days and not longer! Would recommend this place to anyone who wants more than a hotel room! Thank you Sibylle

Sibylle's flat was absolutely wonderful. The location cannot be more convenient, seconds to the metro, Galeries Lafayette, Printemps, groceries and it is easy to walk (if you're up for it!) or take the metro to all the main attractions. The flat itself is in a very quiet building, and is exactly the kind of classic elegance you'd imagine in an old french flat but with all the modern amenities to make it comfortable. The space itself is extremely large with high ceilings, tall windows and balconies making it a great escape from the busy streets and cramped (but cozy) restaurants. The bed is comfortable, wifi is reliable and flat screen tv and cable box were a nice bonus. The kitchen is small but surprisingly very well equipped. Check in and out was with Celia, who is extremely sweet and charming. The flat was immaculately clean. Sibylle was a great host and from booking to check out. She quickly replied to all questions and even provided a great and intensive list of places to eat and go. My boyfriend and I would definitely stay here again. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking to stay in Paris. A much better option than tiny european hotel rooms!

There could not be a more perfect pace to stay and experience Parisian living. Sibylle was very kind responsive and attentive from the first contact. We were so close to shops and all the sites. Just walk around the block to Saint Lazare station and take a train 30 mins to Versailles Palace. Or hop on the Le Open bus a couple blocks away and see all the sights. Our experience at this flat was very positive. It is a very comfortable, well maintained flat near the heart of Paris. Two metro stations are very close. You can walk to most of the sites in central Paris in less than 20-30 minutes. Two very nice bakeries are located at each end of the small street. The Monoprix grocery store was only 2 blocks away. Two very large shopping complexes (Printemps and Lafayette Galleries) are 5 minutes away. This flat is ideally situated for a long term stay in the heart of Paris. The flat was well maintained, very clean, and comfortable. The bed was especially nice. There is a small elevator for those who choose not to climb a couple of flights of stairs. The flat has two nice balconies outside some very large open door windows. The balconies overlook the small street--a very pleasant experience much like New Orleans. There are several small bistros and bars across the street with a very quiet local clientele. The kitchen was small but all of the systems worked very well and it was especially nice for cooking breakfast in the morning. Of course, we ate at many of the fine local restaurants in the evening--many within walking distance. We felt very safe and secure in this area of Paris--no problems whatsoever. Noise levels in the morning were our only issues. The garbage men come about 6:30 - 7:00 am almost every morning and you can hear them from the second story flat. Just the price you pay for sleeping late sometimes or having a flat in a very ideal location! Thanks, Sibylle, for a wonderful stay in Paris. I hope we can return some day.

We loved this apartment! It is very beautiful, bright and airy, and was perfect for us (4 adults, a family). The location is really great, just next to Gare St Lazare and the metro but located on a smaller, quiet street. Also within walking distance of the incredible Paris Opera House. It felt very safe! The apartment was very clean, all amenities were included and it's close to shopping and a super market. The people who met us with the keys were very friendly, as was Sibylle (who we talked to through email). We also really appreciated all the information Sibylle provided about restaurants, things to see, shopping ect. around the apartment. We would absolutely recommend this place, and we would definitely stay here again.

Sibylle's flat is so wonderful and easy to access everywhere by bus. I don't need to use metro cause almost of buses go to her flat ! You can see what is the parisian's house in real paris. and Its perfect place to shopping. Its really big and high ceilings, clean and comfortable. Its kitchen is little bit small but It's good to having some simple dinner or breakfast. Sibylle is very kind and so thoughtful. thanks for her. also her recommendation is very good :) I leave some korean foods for next korean people lol. Sibylle의 flat은 쁘렝땅, 라파예트가 바로 앞에 있어서 정말 쇼핑하기 좋습니다. 걸어서 5분도 안걸리는 거리예요. ㅎㅎ 마트도 바로 앞에 있고, paul은 3분거리에있어요. 신혼부부가 와도 넓을 방이고, 가족들이 와도 좋을만큼 넓고 천장도 높습니다! 진짜 파리지엥들이 사는 아파트가 뭔지 보고싶으면 완벽한 장소라고 봅니다. 주방이 한국에 비해서 작긴한데, 간단하게 해먹긴 나쁘지않아요. 와인과 스테이크를 사서 햇반이랑 같이 구워먹기도 했습니다. ㅎ 아침은 paul에서 빵을 사서 집에있는 커피머신에 커피를 내려먹구요 :) 앞이 에펠탑이 보인다던가 하는 환상적인 뷰는 아니지만, 진짜 파리지엥이 된 기분을 느낄수있어서 정말 좋았습니다. 캐리어가 걱정이신분들도 엘레베이터가 있어서 진짜 좋았어요. 전 계단을 캐리어 끌고 올라가는게 젤 걱정이였어서요; 쇼핑을 많이 하실꺼고, 갑갑한거 싫어하시는 분들, 편리한거 중요하게 생각하시는 분들에게 추천해요!

This was our first air b&b experience and it was flawless!! Prior to our trip Sibylle was in touch with great suggestions of places to eat/drink and shop, which was such a nice bonus, and definitely something you don't get at a hotel! And then there's the apartment which is gorgeous!!! The interior is truly "authentic paris" with gorgeous herringbone wood floors, tons of light, Juliet balconies, and high ceilings with amazing moulding. The furniture is also beautiful--great mid century modern pieces really add to the charm if the whole apartment. The kitchen came equipped with a nespresso machine, the coffee from which we quickly became addicted to! We loved getting a baguette from the nearby bakery and having our breakfast looking out the huge windows. Finally I wanted to mention the shower--it was fantastic, which can be hard to find in Europe!! The water pressure and heat were better than our shower at home! We definitely hope to stay at Sybille's apartment again!!

My wife and i spent a week at this place since may 14th. Sibylle was very kind to us. Her suggestion of the restaurants and market places where very helpful in our trip in Paris. It was a very chill weather during the evening hours but the heating system was in excellent conditions so we were able to sleep with no discomfort at all. The flat in which we stayed was conveniently located near most of the public transportations. It was my first trip with my wife to Europe and i am glad that we got this place because it was perfect for us. My wife is in love with this place! If we are at anytime visiting Paris, we are definately coming back to this flat with Sibylle again! Thank you very much!

This was our first trip to Paris and we wanted to stay in a location that felt close to what it might be like living there. This flat sure met our expectations. The most awesome thing about this is the location could not be more perfect. Right in the middle of anything you might want to do. We did not take metro one time! We walked everywhere, minutes to the Louvre, Incredible Lafayette shopping. We even walked to the Eiffel Tower from here. The flat itself is perfectly accommodating and ready for guests; gorgeous high ceilings, windows that open to little balconies to sit out and enjoy the activity on the street. There is a Lot of activity in this area; it's not a quiet respite from Paris ~it is in the middle of incredible motion and energy! We loved it! Very comfortable bed, a little kitchen where we prepared meals in the early hours after returning from our adventures. Bathroom was great and even was with a washer dryer combo. She has this place set up perfectly for the traveller, we lacked nothing. The flat access is splendid, a safe gate with entry code into the courtyard and entrance. There is a wide winding stair up to the flat and a little lift to use for your luggage (though 2 people with no luggage could get in there). We never met Sibylle, (hi!) but had contact with her via email which was prompt and super supportive. Seriously, she has this down so well ~ she had a huge list ready for us ahead of time of best restaurants, shopping, and general directions that was SO helpful! We were let into the flat and shown the general use of the place by the caretaker who was super sweet and friendly. We did not speak French and the caretaker did not speak English yet the check in was all smiles and easy! Enjoy your stay here, it's a great choice for a real experience!! Thank you Sibylle!

We stayed in Sibylle's flat for four days while in Paris for both business and pleasure. The flat was beautiful and very clean. The kitchen was stocked with coffee, tea, honey, butter, jams, milk and fruit. The location was excellent near the metro, bike rentals, shopping, restaurants and grocery store. We would highly recommend anyone staying here; you will love it!! It was also a secured building which made us feel safe. Thank you Sibylle for allowing us to stay at your flat; we had an amazing time!

Our host, Sibylle was most gracious and quick to answer all questions. My wife and I were warmly welcomed by her associate Celia who was extremely helpful. The apartment was wonderful -- spacious, comfortable, charming. And the neighborhood was a pleasure, packed with restaurants and shops, near transportation ... Paris at our fingertips. Our stay in Paris and in Sibylles apartment was great! The apartment is very nice, clean and has got everything you need. There is a lot of restaurants just outside the door and a very nice bakary just a few meters away. Since it's in the middle of everything it's a little noisy at night, we had earpluggs and then it was no trouble sleeping. Sibylle was very helpful. We arrived at Paris after midnight but she still waited for us so we could check in late, very nice of her. She also gave us some recommendations for restaurants and shopping and helped us with our transfer. I would definitely stay in this apartment again!

This flat is amazing. It is in an absolutely sensational location for shopping, sightseeing & eating. Surrounded by the best in shopping, opposite Printreps & LaFayette, it is a walk to most major monuments, the bus tours depart from the next street and has great bars and restaurants at your door. Add to this an incredibly helpful host who gives you a run down on the best places to eat prior to your arrival so you can plan ahead. The flat is very spacious and is just as pictured. If you are visiting Paris, this place is a must.

Sibylle's apartment is fantastic. very central tp Paris, large and roomy and has everything you need for a great stay. We found lots of restaurants nearby - the Lebanese downstairs is cheap and yummy and the Les Canailles is more upmarket with delicious food.It was also great being so close to the main station from where we could get to anywhere. Sibylle was a great host providing a list of places to go, some supplies in the kitchen and easy checkin. Thks for a great stay.

I had a really nice time staying in the flat, and would both happily come here again and recommend it to my friends. Inside the flat is lovely, and the photos are accurate, though they perhaps understate the sense of space. Outside is a fine Parisian street, more central and better connected than most. All the practical matters worked well too: it was easy to get the key, things in the apartment worked properly without any fuss.

I don't know if I could find anywhere better than Sibylle's house in Paris. Great location, great host, it was even better than what I expected. Although Sibylle was not there to greet us, she was always reachable by phone, and the housekeeper was very friendly as well. I will definitely choose Sibylle's place again when I come back to Paris.

I travel to Paris around twice a year and while I normally reserve a hotel, this time I came to rent an Sibylle's apartment. First of all, I must say that the location was really great and the printemps, lafayette department store in front of the apartment was my favourite for going shopping. The subway is close and the madeleine or opera are both within walking distance which was also fantastic. The apartment is also much wider than it is appeared in the photograph so I was very satisfied. And the Paris skyline which can be viewed from the balcony was very pretty. I will definitely try to seek out Sibylle's apartment again on my next trip.

Arriving at the residential block and stepping into Sibylle's flat had been a superb experience. It made me feel like going into a Paris home. The flat is really a comfortable base to explore the lovely city of Paris. It is minutes away from Printemps, Lafayettes and Opera. Plenty of restaurants nearby offer affordable meals as well as fine dining. The metro train station is conveniently located within a minute's walk. Sibylle is responsive almost instantly to all my e-mails, providing all the necessary information about check-in check-out arrangements and most useful tips on shopping and dining. Also very helpful is her housekeeper Celia. Our family has a very enjoyable holiday in Paris. Thank you, Sibylle. A highly recommended holiday flat.

The flat is in brilliant location, surrounded by lovely bakeries and restaurants. We were woken up at 7am by street cleaning crew, but I guess it's typical with the flat being in such a central location (we easily went back to sleep). The neighbourhood is very trendy and we enjoyed that we could reach a lot of sightseeing spots on foot, especially with the weather being so great. The flat itself is lovely and with unique interior details. Lots of space, gorgeous high ceilings, clean. The balcony is perfect to sit and drink coffee in the mornings :) It has lots of natural light because of tall windows. Although we haven't met the host face to face, Sibylle was very organised and attentive. She sent a lot of information about Paris, restaurants and shopping well before the trip as well as was very quick to respond to our queries while in Paris. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay in this flat and will be definitely coming back next time!

The apartment was perfect for our stay and Sibylle gave us a terrific list of neighborhood shops and cafes. The location is great, with easy walking to most of the places we wanted to go and to the Gare St. Lazare for trains to places a bit farther. Everything went very smoothly.

The apartment was perfect, exactly what I was hoping for. The space was bright and warm and the detail in the room was incredible. It really felt like a second home, and I was very sad to be leaving. I had a few people over for dinner a couple of nights and they were just as impressed as I was, and the location was great for getting anywhere in Paris (the metro was around the corner). I used the Velib downstairs everyday, and rode through the city and always had a space to park the bike when i got home. It was a great place to stay and next time I'm in Paris there is nowhere else I would consider, it was beyond what i could hope for.

After travelling for 2 months & some questionable accommodation, walking into this beautiful apartment was a breath of fresh air. It is a traditional style Parisian home that is spacious & beautifully decorated. From the high ceilings to the large windows that open onto a balcony, is what makes this apartment special. What's more, our host Sibylle was amazing and went the extra mile to help make our stay wonderful. She was also helpful with sending details on the area including shopping, food etc. She checked on us during our stay as well to make sure everything was ok. She was an amazing host! The location is perfect. A minutes walk from St Lazare station, shopping is minutes away, and a 20-30min walk to some main attractions. I highly recommend this apartment and would definitely stay there again. Thanks Sibylle for making our stay & our 25th wedding anniversary a memorable one.

Beautiful apartment in a great location! We loved the high ceilings, parquet floors and large windows. The central location was down the block from both the Paris metro and the commuter line. Paris Bike Share was just downstairs. Even better, we could walk to most major museums and sights within 15-20 minutes. Our stay was beautiful and ideal and a terrific value. I would definitely recommend it for your next trip to Paris.

Sibylle's apartment is large, with high ceilings, and is perfectly located! It is just round the corner from the St Lazare metro which serves 3 lines so you can pretty much get anywhere you want. The Roissy bus (transport to/from CDG) is about a 10 min walk away. The apartment is very clean, with a firm, comfortable bed. The kitchen appliances are as shown in the photos, and there's also a dishwasher. She provided a selection of tea, coffee, jam, butter and milk in the kitchen; that's very considerate! Huge shopping centres, groceries, pharmcies all within 5-10 min walk. The only negative would be the street noise late at night, and the garbage truck in the early morning - which would be a problem for light sleepers. Sibylle is very responsive and accommodating as a host, I especially appreciated that she is flexible with the check in/out times. I would certainly stay here again! Merci beaucoup!

It was a very nice place with clean facilities and an elegant atmosphere. Practically I had everything I needed there during my stay and the concierge was also kind. The bathroom door sometimes didn't open at once but it functioned okay when you pull a little harder. I would definitely recommend this place for couples or families looking for a spacious place to stay.

We enjoyed the flat, and especially loved the stylish mirrors, the high windows and the generous space in the living room. We didn't have the chance to meet Sibylle but her concierge was very nice. Good location, only twice we used the metro, most of the time we walked or cycled - there's a velib public cycles station stretching for much of the length of Rue Isly.

Our experience with Sybille and her apartment was fantastic as first time airbnb users. Her concierge, Celia, was very welcoming despite our language differences. Her apartment was spacious, clean and the little things were great too with the shower having good water pressure, the heating being very effective and both the bed and sofa bed our friend stayed on were comfortable. The apartment does experience some street noise which although not excessive, may not suit light sleepers. Dealing with Sybille was very easy. She provided prompt responses and also provided a great and comprehensive list of recommendations including some delicious dining options. Overall, a great experience and we would not hesitate to recommend Sybille and her apartment.

We just spent 4 days in Paris, staying in Sibylle's apartment, and we loved it. The apartment is everything the previous reviewers have said so I can only repeat what they've said - that the apartment is spacious, charming and light, and in a really convenient location. Our 7 year old really appreciated the space to play and lounge around in. Heating and water was great. Check- in was easy with the concierge, the lovely and friendly Celia. Sibylle was also really helpful with information and stayed in touch to ensure all was well. And there were the nice touches of butter, milk, spreads, coffee, basic cooking ingredients, and laundry detergent. As previous reviewers have said there is some noise from the garbage trucks in the morning but it didn't really bother us. We had a fabulous time in Paris!

We loved our week at Sibylle's apartment. It is just as described. We were able to walk everywhere and at the end of the day could easily catch the metro back "home". Sibylle made the whole experience of checking in and getting around Paris very easy with all the details she provided. We've visited Paris before and this was definitely our best experience. Our stay in Paris was fantastic! We loved Sibylle's elegant yet comfortable apartment. It has an extra large living and dining room with two floor to ceiling windows that open to Juliet balconies. The separate bedroom has the same floor to ceiling windows and balconies. The apartment was equipped with all the amenities, more than you would get staying in a hotel. Our favorite amenities were hi speed internet, washer/dryer, and an espresso machine. The apartment is so conveniently located that you can walk almost anywhere and it is next to a metro stop and the St Lazare Train Station. Sibylle was the most gracious host. She made sure we had all the information we needed about the apartment, checking in and out, where to shop for groceries, wine, fashion, good restaurants and local bars, etc. . Our baggage was delayed for 3 days and Sibylle stayed in contact with us until our baggage was finally delivered. We will heartily recommend Sibylle's apartment to our friends!

Sibylle's flat is very clean, well-equipped, and, location-wise is great! With closest proximity to Saint Lazare and Havre Caumartin, it is so easy to travel to your tourist spots without having to change trains more than once. There are so many conveniences around the block (restaurants, Starbucks, retail, gelato, bakeries, banks, supermarket) that made it so much easier to settle in (less time spent searching) and more time to explore the beautiful city. Sibylle's apartment is light, clean, airy and handy to St Lazare train station. We found it easy get around Paris and being close to Galleries Lafayette during the sales was a bonus! Everything we needed was provided, and we loved the high ceilings and ornate mirrors. Sibylle was an excellent host and communication with her was very easy. Everything was handled in an efficient and friendly manner. Altogether a great stay.

I have had the good fortune to stay at over a dozen AirBnBs in the last year, for work and vacation travel, and no host has been as lovely as Sibylle. Sibylle went over the top in so many ways to make sure I enjoyed me stay, had all of the information I needed, and was prompt in her responses. I will stay here again when I visit Paris next! The flat is exquisite as well! Excellent location and neighborhood, easy access to metro and many sites like the Louvre, shopping, Fauchon, and others.

This is a superbly positioned apartment, minutes from L'Opera, just around the corner from La Fayette and Printemps shopping centres and two minutes walk from Saint Lazarre station. Rue D'Lisley is alive with food and drink of all sorts as are surrounding streets. A fabulous location and extremely comfortable. Highly recommended.

Sibylle was an amazing host - timely and efficient in her correspondence. The apartment is beautiful, light and really spacious. It is as described in the photos. The location is super central and a perfect base for visiting Paris. We had an unusual incident with water leakage in the building and Sibylle came over in the middle of the night to resolve the issue and kindly offered a refund without being asked. Terrific stay at Sibylle's place. The flat is just as described and the neighborhood is terrific. We literally walked everywhere - Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Louvre... But for those less used to walking there are loads of transport options to choose from. Her recommendations were spot on, we went to Fuxia on Place du Marche de Saint Honore, it was excellent. Loads of restaurant options on the square and we would never have known of the square if she hadn't directed us. We did most of our food shopping at the Galerie Lafayette food hall though we did also go around the corner to the Monoprix for staples. We would recommend it to all and would be very happy to return.

The apartment is in the most gorgeous building and has the most beautiful floor and incredible high ceilings. It has everything you need for a short trip to Paris. It is situated in a fantastic location, within walking distance of many attractions and a stone's throw from the metro. Sybille had very kindly left Nespresso pods, milk and some butter and jam for our use.

I booked this apartment at the last minute (one day before my arrival) and Sibylle did everything to make sure it would happen and was a great host. More importantly the flat is amazing. Sibylle's flat is BEAUTIFUL, the location is extremely CENTRAL and Sibylle has been the BEST HOST ever. The flat looks like the presidential suite of a five star hotel. It is extremely spacious, the ceilings are very high, the old-fashioned mirrors and furniture are so beautiful, the bed is very comfortable. The flat is extremely clean, even spotless. Sibylle left for us good quality coffee, tea, milk and jam and the kitchen and flat are fully equipped with amenities (as high speed internet, washer/dryer and espresso machine). The location is excellent, the metro is literally a minute away, the best Parisian department stores Lafayette and Printemps are 2 min away and you can even walk to Opera and the Louvre. Sibylle is very responsive, gave us fabulous advice about restaurants and shopping and made sure we didn't lack anything. The access to the flat through the concierge is extremely easy. There are so many useful shops and restaurants around the corner (including bakeries, retail, Starbucks, banks, gelato) that we settled in so easily. Sibylle's apartment is beautiful, super clean, has old Parisian character and is perfectly located in the heart of Paris, near the Opera and the Galeries Lafayette. My parents and I stayed in the apartment for five nights and had a lovely time. Sibylle is a super nice and helpful host and she was always available for any questions. Sibylle shared with us her personal recommendations of Paris and also left some breakfast supply like butter, jams, coffee and tea, which was great! Thanks for hosting Sibylle!

Stayed at Sibylle's flat for 4 nights/5 days and was amazed at the central location of the flat. Sibylle was very responsive to any questions we had and made sure to follow up on arrival and departure. While I never had the pleasure of meeting her, I felt that she was involved in our stay from beginning to end. The only criticism I'd point out about the flat is the condition of the floors. They make a good deal of noise as you walk on them. I assumed there was a very big water leak at some point and the floors are warped and squeak a lot as you walk on them. Aside from that, the front door is very secure and allows you to feel safe, the building has a very small elevator to allow you to bring up your luggage one piece at a time and again, it's central location is super convenient. I hope the tragedy that occurred a day after we checked out, does not sway your decision on visiting this beautiful country and city.

Amazing appartment and host ! The flat is very beautiful (high ceiling, old mirrors, comfortable coaches, fully equiped kitchen etc) and quite big compared to typical parisian flats (very good price). The location is very central (a minute away from the subway, very close to Galleries Lafayette and Printemps etc), it is very easy and quick to move around, find a supermarket or a nice restaurant. Above all, Sibylle is a great host. Prior to our arrival, she sent us 2 long mails full of all the practical and useful details, many suggestions for bars and restaurants. Very classic Parisian flat replete with charming details everywhere, including glamorously tall ceilings & windows, parquet floors, painted moldings, and vintage mirrors. The huge living room is great and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly. Very easy check-in and check-out. Sibylle was a great host, providing extensive details and easy communication. Highly recommended.

Sibylles apartment is one of the most charming apartments I have stayed in in Paris. The decor of the flat is classic style with fabulous herringbone parquet, high ceilings with plaster decoration and enormous antique neo--baroque mirrors. The enormous windows to the balcony are also original (which means they are not double glazed) as is the door leading to the bedroom and add to the genteel air of the apartment. The kitchen is small and well equipped and importantly the door closes so that nothing disturbs the ambiance of the extremely large drawing/dining room. The bed is extremely comfy and guarantee a good nights sleep whilst the location is fantastic. Fabulous shopping, a large Monoprix just around the corner and a mere 30 minute walk to the Louvre or Champs Elysee. Sibylle is a diligent host who answers any query extremely promptly and the concierge is charming. I stay in Paris regularly on my own and in Sibylle's apartment I feel safe and secure and am central for everything. I look forward to staying there again.

Sibylle's flat is by far the best airbnb flat I've been to (I use airbnb all the time) and it is such a pleasure to come here again and again. The flat is extremely central, very convenient in terms of public transportation and 10 min walking distance to Opera and 20-30 min to Louvre or Champs-Elysees. The flat is beautiful with very high ceilings, baroque mirrors, beautiful mouldings and design furniture. It is like a small piece of Versailles and gives an authentic Parisian feeling. The living room is very spacious and the bedroom is big. The kitchen is fully equipped and you have everything you need to cook. The bed is extremely comfortable and the flat is also very safe with a big secure lock and an entrance code to the building. The concierge lives downstairs and is always available when you have questions. Sibylle is a great host, always responding quickly to questions and provides a great list of recommendations for restaurants and shopping. Thanks to her, we discovered two amazing gourmet restaurants which are now our favourites. The shopping is of course fabulous as the flat is just next to the big department stores Lafayette and Printemps. Overall amazing experience with a great host, can't recommend it more! This apartment in the heart of Paris is absolutely incredible! I couldn't have asked for anything more. Upon arrival, Sibylle was kind enough to leave some refreshments, which was very kind after a journey. The flat itself is very lovely and exactly what one would hope for a Parisian apartment. Sibylle is a perfect host. So responsive and available and pleasant. She in no way misrepresented the flat. It is in a great location so you will hear street sounds and activities, but it generally all settles down in the evening. I think safety is always a concern for travelers and we felt very safe in this neighborhood and in the apartment building itself. One important thing for travelers is to be able to count on a consistent hot shower. We were never disappointed.

If you are thinking of visiting Paris and want the authentic Parisian charm then come to this flat. It's full of character from the floors to the large old windows. We were instantly transported to Paris without evening seeing the city. On top of that bed is comfy, neighborhood is safe, and walking distance to anything you need! You can't go wrong we felt safe and knew our host was only a phone call, text, or message away!

Staying at Sibylles place truly completed our Parisian experience. The apartment is beautiful, spacious and has a romantic, bohemian vibe to it. Sibylle's place was excellent and as described. She provided useful information regarding Paris and made check in and check out very easy. The location of the flat makes it very easy to get around Paris by metro, uber/taxi or by foot. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby and there is a supermarket a couple of minutes walk away. The kitchen is ok for preparing breakfast and snacks but it does not have an oven, only electric hobs and microwave. The area is quiet at night but we were woken up a in the mornings a couple of times by road sweeping services and other normal city noises. Nothing that you would not expect when staying in a major city center.

The host sent a lot of good information about the apartment code, restaurants and everything else that you'd like to know. But that email didn't light up on my (Hidden by Airbnb) and so there was confusion when I tried to get into the building at night. It worked out eventually but airbnb needs to figure out a better way to get important info to the renters. Other than that we had a very good experience! The wifi worked well, Sibylle was, with only one exception, quick with returning emails and texts during our stay. The concierge was very nice and the apartment was great.

The apartment is exactly how it is pictured on the website. It is really SPACIOUS, beautiful and so Parisian! The best thing about it is the location. Metro station, best baguettes, restaurants and shopping literally meters away, all the main attractions within 15 minutes walk or a few metro stops. Everything worked perfectly - host communication, checkin, late checkout, wifi, kitchen appliances, etc. Sibylle has provided us with the detailed instructions and information about everything we needed during our stay. We loved staying at her place and will definitely recommend to friends and family.

We had a very nice experience staying in Sibylle's flat. It is really close to Printemps as well as Gare Saint-Lazare. The check-in was quite smooth and Sibylle sent all the information needed. The most impressive part of this stay was the restaurant selection - I will definitely save that for future visits in Paris. The rooms are as magnificent as the photos and wifi worked prefectly.

The location of the flat is great. Subway & bus right around the corner. Four restaurants right below the flat. Our host also had restaurant recommendations for us to go to with location info. Our flat was clean and spacious just as pictured. Kitchen was just right for our needs. Nespresso machine with Nespresso cups for great coffee. Bedroom was roomy and bed was comfy. We slept great. Our host let us know where to go to buy groceries and where boulangeries were located. We enjoyed fresh bagette bread and Nespresso coffee many mornings before venturing out to discover Paris. We would love to stay here again.

We booked Sybile's apartment with less the 24 hours notice. She was able to accommodate us and Celia the resident concierge was there to meet us and show us around. If you want to get a real feel for living in Paris, this is it! From the lift, marble stairwell, old wood floors, 10 foot mirrors, ornate ceilings, balconies and shutters, this is a true Parisian apartment.

Beautifully located close to Opera in a very nice area of Paris, it is very close to many metro stations that makes it easy to travel everywhere in Paris. The check in and out was very convenient. The apartment itself is very unique experience. You will live in an old building in the place that still has the decorations dated at least 19 th centrury... Old mirrors, floors, big windows give you a very special feeling you are back in time. The apartment has everything you need and I very pleasant to stay.

We loved the flat and the location. It is close to metro, train, buses, ATM machines, and plenty of shopping. There are great cafes on the same street too! The Carmel. Crepes are wonderful. Sibylle gave us plenty of information and tips ahead of time and responded quickly. The steps inside the building are somewhat dark after sunset so we used our phones to light it. It wasn't a problem for us. Our entire family (4 of us) stayed a week and the roll out bed was comfortable enough for our two older but petite daughters. We walked to the Ferris Wheel and Louve areas easily but we walk a lot too. We felt safe all the time. We even ran into a parade of thousands of santas on bikes one day. Plenty to see and do!!!! We would recommend it and stay again if in Paris! Karen

The fancy and luxurious apartment is very central, only 15 mins on taxi away from the Gare du Nord. Before check-in there was a well-written instruction and Sibylle confirmed several times with us in advance. Absolutely no problem to reach there. The apartment is close to any tourist attractions and Galleria Lafayette. also it is quiet and very french!! Coffee maker is set up and heating is under control. Would definitely recommend all my friends who want to travel and stay in Paris. Maybe best suit one family size.:) plus+ sorry for the late check-out.

Sibylle's house can not be better, whether it is shopping or eating, are very convenient, the layout of the house and feel very "Paris", downstairs that the Lebanese restaurant is very suitable for my taste. We spent three nights here, very comfortable, Sibylle and her friends are very enthusiastic to help us. Great location, close to train station and public transportation. Easy walking distance to shopping and sites around the Opera area. Noisy in the early morning with car traffic, deliveries to commercial/restaurants on the ground floor and garbage collection at 6:30 to 7:00 am on a daily basis. Also a bit noisy at night from reatsurant and bars on the street. Unit is very spacious and very secure! Would recommed this for 3 to 4 people.

Amazing things are difficult to qualify or rate. Your first love. First time you saw a van gogh. Or first time you saw the "meninas" in Madrid. Sibylle's place belongs to the same category. I am parisian, born and grown up there. Although not French. And as all Parisian, we think that we all know all. A typical mark of parisian humility. Sibylle's place is just amazing. So parisian. High ceilings. Nice parquet. Immense, great location. Beautiful combination of 19th haussmanian building with 70s furniture. And a lovely check in by Celia. Lovely and helpful lady. Sibylle's apartment is gorgeous and ideally located for exploring Paris. The apartment is in a historic building on the second floor. There is a small lift so don't stress if you have trouble with stairs. The apartment's decor is historic and interesting - the door handles, frieze and mirrors are all beautiful throw backs to the past and typically French. The furniture Sybille has chosen is all functional and comfortable. The living room and bedroom are huge - there is definitely enough space for 2-3 people (or even a family of 4 if you don't mind sharing a bed). We didn't really use the kitchen for cooking - we only made one meal during our week-long stay but it seemed adequately equipped should you want to eat in throughout your stay. It would just be a matter of checking the utensils handy before doing a shop. The fridge was a bit smelly - not sure if the previous occupant had left something bad in there as it appeared to be clean. The bathroom was small but big enough for us. The shower has been one of my favourite in my 4 weeks of travel - hallelujah for water pressure! There's a washing machine which we made use of - it worked great. Decent lighting for ladies who need to do their makeup. Towels and washing powder provided, however we did need to buy some toilet paper as only 2 rolls were provided. The only downside to the apartment was some roadworks occurring right outside our window on the street. They would start early in the morning and wake us up, particularly my partner who is a light sleeper. If you're staying in the immediate future, I'd recommend some earplugs but it didn't put me off the apartment at all. The location more than makes up for the noise and roadworks won't go on forever, so I'll definitely be back. Restaurants and shopping are so close. There's a metro station on the corner of the street but most major attractions are within walking distance or you can get a cab for a reasonable fare. I felt like a real Parisian in Sibylle's apartment - thanks for having us!

Only one minor thing about the size of the bed which is a queen size, comparably small when compared to the spacious size of the apartment.

Excellent location and gorgeous apartment with historical features, feels like a "chambre dans un palais". Things to improve may be a renovation in toilet / bathroom and old wood flooring which make noise. Also some blackout curtains would be nice to cut better the light. Street is a bit noisy so not for those whom are looking for tranquility. Apartment was very clean. Host Sybille and concierge Celia are very kind and open to communication. Sybille sends a nice guideline mesaage in advance including lots of recomendation for places to eat which is much appreciated. Overall we are very happy and would recommend the place to our friends.

Sibylle's place was exactly as described and shown in pics! Great location - Paris is a walkable city, but this location is great for those that want to be close to shops, sites and bars/restaurants. Lively neighbourhood, and metro is right around the corner. The apartment was very spacious and clean! Kitchen has basic tea/coffee, plenty of dishes and cooking utensils for those wanting to cook. Check in was easy and communication was great - she gave us many tips and info on where to go and what to do. Overall it was a great stay!

Sibylle place is very central to the opera Lafayette area and the Printemps shops. It has great facilities and huge area for your own private use. Plus the balcony makes for a wonderful backdrop to some beautiful photos.

First, the specifics...Sibylle's apartment is very conveniently located to public transportation and many shops and restaurants. There was a bit of construction happening on the street where it is located when we were there but that, of course, will be completed. There is no air conditioner but most Paris apartments do not have air conditioners. We should have researched that. When we got to Paris they were having 2 days of very unusual hot weather. Sibylle provided a fan and when I texted her to inquire about air conditioning, she responded right away. She explained about the Paris weather and let us know when it would return to normal. She even offered to reimburse us if we felt we needed to buy another fan (which we didn't need to do because the weather returned to normal and was just perfect). Now, the apartment itself is just gorgeous with big, beautiful windows that you can open everyday to let in the cool Parisian breeze! It is VERY spacious, which we were not expecting because we heard that Paris apartments can be small. I can't say enough about how helpful Sibylle was before and during our stay. Before our visit, she sent us so much valuable information concerning the check-in, stores, restaurants, transportation, tips on how to avoid fake taxis, and more. She even checked up on us upon our arrival to ensure that we made it to the concierge ok. I would highly recommend you stay there. Sibylle was VERY helpful and provided so much valuable information beforehand that really helped us when we got to Paris. 5 Stars!

Sibylle has a very lovely, spacious apartment (photos are accurate) and she is a good host. Everything was clean and in good working order. The apartment is located close to Gare St. Lazare, a grocery store, and department stores. You can easily take a metro to the museums and sights, or if you are walkers you can walk there as we did. Note that the unit does not have A/C but she does have a large fan and the bonus of a washer dryer in the bathroom that you can use. This is our second stay in Sibylle's place, and we highly recommend it to you.
